Ministry Watch Gives KFUO an F Grade
KFUO AM is gearing up for a Sharathon for April 17, 18, & 19. But before you send a single penny to KFUO please consider this fact... Ministry Watch, an organization that rates the 400 largest church ministries in the United States so that people can learn how to be responsible givers, has bestowed an F grade to the radio ministry of KFUO. This is the lowest rating that a ministry can earn.
To give you some perspective on this rating, below is a list of other "ministries" that have garnered an F grade from Ministry Watch.
Benny Hinn Ministries
Funny. I was planning to send just that. A single penny.

Pastor Wilken talked about this on a, I think, recent show. If anyone remembers the show date, I'll get it up on http://wittenbergmedia.org. I recall him saying that he had requested the information be released to comply with Ministry Watches transparency guidelines, but the "higher-ups" never moved on it.

How disappointing to be given an "F" by Ministry Watch! The Kieschnick Administration should take responsibility, and respond to such a rating!

In this case, a penny saved is a penny saved with much discernment.

Yes. You might want to check out: Jan. 30, second hour and Feb. 25, first hour. On the Feb. 25 show, Todd mentions that part about KFUO receiving an F-grade on transparency. It starts to take place at 38:39.
Todd Wilken (Feb. 25) on getting a better grade for KFUO from MINISTRY WATCH:
"That transparency is a great thing, a marvelous thing. Trust me, those who could fill out the forms have heard it from me. So we will see what happens."
What happened was that Todd and Jeff are terminated, apparently for financial reasons and KFUO is still getting a F on transparency (according to MINISTRY WATCH.) Sad.

Thanks, Pr. Gallas. I posted a clip that combines some of what Pastor Wilken had to say about financial transparency. http://wittenbergmedia.org/2008/04/04/financial-transparency/

Personally, I couldn't get my Credit Card to give just one cent -so I decided $2 would cost and cause enough aggravation in processing. And then it could represent that old saying "things are as queer as a $2.00 bill"!
